Solve the numerical from Chapter Heat

1. How much heat must be added to raise the temperature of 200 g of water from 15 0 C to 85 0 C? ( 58800J) 2. An electrical kettle contains 200gm of water at 20 0 C. How much heat is to be supplied in order to boil the water? (Assume that the water boils at 100 0 C and the kettle takes no heat) ( 67200J) 3.  A brass rod of 0.4 kg mass at 100 0 C is dropped into 1.0 kg of water at 20 0 C. The final temperature is 23 0 C. Calculate the specific heat capacity of brass. ( 409.09 J/Kg0C) 4. The temperature of 20 kg water in the radiator of engine of a car is 30 0 C. If the temperature of water increases upto 100 0 C after the engine is heated, what quantity of heat will the water absorb? (Ans: 5.88  x  106 J ) 5.  What will be the quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of 2kg paraffin by 10 0 C if 44000 joules of heat energy is required to raise the temperature of the paraffin by 200C?  (Ans: 4.4  x  10 4  J ) 6.  Hot water of mass 7 kg at 98 0 C is cooled for tak
